01

First-Time Setup

Start here

Three quick steps to get your M3 ready to shoot — no app, no account, no fuss.

CHUZHAO M3 — insert card and power on
  1. 1

Insert the 32 GB TF card

Open the memory-card slot on the side of the camera and slide the included 32 GB TF card in with the gold contacts facing down. Push gently until it clicks into place.

Always power off the camera before inserting or removing a card.
  2. 2

    Charge the battery

Plug the included Type-C cable into the camera’s charging port and connect to a USB power source (computer, power bank, or 5 V / 1 A wall adapter). The status light shows charging; the camera is fully charged in about 3 hours.

  3. 3

    Power on

Press and hold the Power button for 3–5 seconds until the screen lights up. You’ll see the live preview — you’re ready to shoot.

To power off, hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
02

Taking Photos

The default mode when you power on. Point, frame, shoot.

CHUZHAO M3 — focus and take a photo
  1. 1

    Confirm Photo mode

Make sure the camera icon (not the video camera icon) is shown in the corner of the screen. If you’re in Video mode, short-press the Up button to switch back to Photo mode.

  2. 2

    Frame your shot

Use the 2.8″ display to compose the shot. Hold the camera steady about 30–60 cm from your subject for portraits.

  3. 3

    Press the shutter to shoot

The autofocus locks on as you press the shutter. Press fully to capture the photo — it’s saved automatically as a 12 MP JPG.

Tip: For close-ups, move in until your subject is 10 cm from the lens — that’s the minimum focus distance.
03

Recording Video

Capture smooth Full HD clips with sound, straight from the camera.

06 · Safety & Troubleshooting

Stay safe. Solve common issues.

Quick safety notes from the user manual, plus fixes for the most common problems.

Safety Notes

  1. The built-in 3.7 V lithium-ion battery is rechargeable and non-replaceable. Do not attempt to remove or replace it — if damaged, stop use and contact support.
  2. Use only the recommended charger: DC 5 V / 1 A USB source.
  3. Inspect the charger’s cable and plug regularly. Stop use if damaged.
  4. Do not clean the camera with liquids. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth only.
  5. Contains small parts — not suitable for children under 3 years.
  6. Do not dispose of with household waste — please recycle responsibly.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera won’t turn on — charge for at least 30 minutes via the Type-C cable, then hold Power for 3–5 seconds. Try a different cable or power source if it still doesn’t respond.
  • “Card error” or card not recognised — the M3 uses TF cards up to 32 GB. Format the card in the camera’s settings menu (or on a computer as FAT32 / exFAT).
  • Photos are blurry — hold the camera steady and ensure minimum focus distance of 10 cm.
  • Battery drains quickly — heavy fill-light use, long video recording and frequent screen review all shorten runtime. Enable Auto Power Off (3 min or 5 min).
  • Files don’t appear on the computer — confirm the camera is powered on while connected via Type-C. Try a different USB port or cable.
  • Filter / settings not responding — power off, remove the card, power back on. If the issue persists, use Restore Factory in the settings menu.
